OHA to Host 2022 SERC NAHRO MLK Basketball Tournament

In 1991, a vision was put into motion with the simple idea of getting kids involved in a structured program to give them an alternative to destructive activities they may encounter within their communities.

Each year Affordable Housing Agencies from across the SERC NAHRO region come together during the MLK long weekend for a basketball tournament. 

The program involves drug education and strict academic requirements for each participant. The program includes boys' and girls' basketball as well as a dance/cheer competition. 

Opelika Housing Authority has been selected as the 2022 hosts of the annual tournament and will be welcoming teams from across the Southeast.
