All Offices Closed to Public

OPELIKA  AND TALLASSEE HOUSING AUTHORITY CLOSURES

EFFECTIVE TODAY, DECEMBER 28, 2021

The Housing Authorities of the City of Opelika and Tallassee has determined that due to the recent and excessive rise in the COVID-19 Overall Level of Community Transmission, all Opelika and Tallassee Housing Authority facilities will be closed to the general public effective today, December 28, 2021.

Our agency and its departments will continue to serve by telephone or email through this closure, as best as possible.  Signs will be posted on the doors of all buildings with relevant contact information and we will continue to update the Authority's website at www.opelikaha.org or https://www.opelikaha.org/covid-19-info.

The Authority plans to maintain continuity of essential services during this timeframe.  Essential services include, but are not limited to, emergency maintenance needs, site inspections, lease compliance and enforcement.  We are doing our best to take measures to ensure staff are practicing safe social distancing.

Given the uncertainty associated with the COVID-19 Pandemic, this closure is subject to change at any time, at which time, we will immediately update the community.
